How to Prevent Hair Dryness

We all suffer from dry hair from time to time. Mostly, dry hair is caused by over processing, bleaching, coloring, straightening and other treatments. It’s further aggravated by using heaters like blow-dryers, flat irons and curling irons.

However, there are some things you can do that will help you make your hair bouncy, shiny and protected from over drying.

Coconut Oil:

Coconut oil is considered to be a magical remedy for dry hair. Simply massage some coconut oil on your hair and scalp. Leave it for the whole night. Rinse it off in the morning.You can also the use warm coconut oil as a hot oil treatment. Don’t forget to apply it to your ends.

Curry Leaves:

Curry leaves are enriched with calcium, vitamins, phosphorous, and iron. Heat two tablespoons of coconut oil and also add 5-6 curry leaves.  Heat it for a few minutes and allow it to cool down. Apply it on the scalp and hair. Wrap your hair in a heated towel for 15 minutes. This is a great nourishing treatment for your hair.

Fenugreek Seeds:

Fenugreek seed is one of the natural remedies for dry hair because of its conditioning properties. Soak 50 gm fenugreek seeds in water for overnight. Next morning, crush them to create a fine paste. Add four tablespoons of yogurt. Then, add a few drops of olive oil and some honey. Combine all the ingredients well.

Apply this paste on hair and scalp. Wrap it with a shower cap and leave it on for forty-five minutes. Rinse your hair with a mild shampoo. For effective results, practice this method twice every week.

You can apply plain fenugreek paste on hair. It also provides very effective results.
